my apartment is absolutely lovely. having a single is amazing beyond words. classes are going well i suppose. mmw is awesome because my prof has a british accent, which is just awesome. latin is fun because it is chamberlain and i like chamberlain, and also because i have been wanting to learn latin since middle school and now i finally am. math sucks but that is to be expected. at least i can go to the earlier lecture because my professor teaches math at 11 and at 3 and i am signed up for the 3 o'clock one but if i go to the 11 o'clock one, i can finish classes earlier every day. and my last class is econ and thats not fun at all but its only twice a week and its basically my only class of the day on tuesdays and thursdays so its not so bad.
the first ultimate practice will be happening tonight,which ought to be exciting. iv is fun and i'm still trying to figure out which bible study i like best. other than that, life is pretty uneventful. i have discovered "one sweet whirled" which is a lovely ice cream flavor by ben and jerrys with coffee and marshmallow and toffee goodness. i have also rediscovered the wonder that is spicy cheetos, so i am eating and eating bags of them. and while i live in the building closest to RIMAC, i still havent gone to the gym. as far as the long distance thing goes, i talk to gerald on the phone every night so we're doing quite well. i upgraded my cell phone plan from 5000 nights and weekends to unlimited ones, because im actually going over (which is perfectly alright as my plan has rollover minutes) but isnt that ridiculous? the thought that 5000 minutes might not be enough in a month? but it is okay because i enjoy our talks. and im currently learning how to tie knots because knots are cool.
that is my life in a nutshell.

i am finally visiting people as i promised i would last year. like... the girls and alex at berkeley last week. and leo at usc today. we did the touristy things like the stars and the sid guy's handprint place. and we looked at the beach and went shopping and spent lots of time at cute/overpriced/useless stores like urban outfitters and anthropologie. i really liked a deck of cards at urbanoutfitters but leo convinced me not to get them because they were overpriced and impractical. and i already got my one random-splurge item of the day so i was like okayfine. and then we got yummy (and cheap!) ice cream sandwiches. so it was a good day.
i wanted to go to the rainbow outlet on the way down to sd (cause its on the way) but it turns out that they are only open monday-friday. booo.
tomorrow i will move into sd and yay the freedom yay the convenience yay the friends. life is lovely.

yay gerald came over last night! kind of funny cause i knew he'd do it, but he thought he was being all sneaky and unpredictable and surprising.silly boys.
so yeah we did riddles (cannibals and missionaries anyone?) went and got pmt at ophelia's (yay cheap pmt) and we talked and talked and talked. then he left at like... 2:30ish, i slept at 3, somehow woke up at 8, loaded the car, and drove. and drove and drove and drove. and now i am at the Hilton in Universal City and i can see Universal Studios from my window. but apparently there is nothing for people to do around here, except for the aforementioned amusement park. so im online. sad, but true.
dont ever go to your parents reunions. especially your mom's. especially if she went to an all girl's high school. you know how girls are all like "oh you lost weight oh your hair looks good oh blahblahblah random bs" if you havent seen each other in a few months. this is thirty years. and tons of women. TONS. and EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM oohs and aahs about how big i've grown and how much i look like my mom.
two more days till i'm in san diego. twoooooo. im excited.

i said bye to gerald today. woke up early, drove up to navato, and that was fun because i took 280 to 19th instead of taking 101 though san francisco and it was a lot faster and there was no traffic and i just zoomed right through. i introduced him to pho. and we got coldstones. then i drove his car around for more than an hour! (his car is a stick shift by the way) so that was exciting. and then we went back to his place and talked. for a long time. and then i had to go home and i didnt get a ticket even though i was speeding like hell on the way home because i was late. so life is good. better than that; life is awesome. thank you God.
and now i will continue packing for san diego because i am leaving in two days.

today was awesome.
i got my driver's license in the mail. its not the best picture but its WAY better than the old one. for some odd reason, my hair looks hecka long and it looks like im not wearing any clothes, which is a bit peculiar but NOT IMPORTANT.
AND i got my cell phone toooooo. i wanted red and white, not blue and silver, but its okay i'll deal. it took me forever but i transferred all the numbers from my old phone to my new one. then the new phone didnt come with normal home charger but i was like "HEY the plug looks familiar" and i dug up the charger from my old SE phone and it WORKED. and SE is intelligent and the handsfree plug is NOT the same plug as the charger so i can charge and use handsfree at the same time! i just have to go get a handfree set. grumble. but the number is still the same sooo yay!
now all i gotta do is finish packing tonight so i can visit gerald tomorrow and YAAAYYYY life is good.

it is september 11th so i feel like i ought to make a 9/11 post. ummm yeah i still remember the day it happened. tuesday.... talking about it in apush.... yeah thats about it. non-9/11 things.
yesterday i went to berkeley with gerald, to visit and also so he could meet my friends. got lost and managed to get to oakland and alameda. went to dinner at the ghetto with amy tracy and tree. saw lots of lynbrook people and a person from ucsd. its so cliche but it really is a small world. convinced my mom to let me stay overnight at alex's in foothill. got frozen yogurt from that yogurt place, talked, went to alex's and played set, the math game, and mau. we had such awesome rules. "michael jordan, bitch, fuck, boing, how cute/ew threesome/oo orgy, and so on." we were supposed to wake up at 7:30, meet amy at 7:45 at the smoking circle and take her back to san jose. we slept at 5, alex and i both slept through our alarm clocks, amy called so i woke up and gerald and i were like "um, oops."
cousin got into accident. fell asleep at the wheel and practically totalled his brand new car, that didnt even have license plates yet. not too badly injured and didnt hit anyone so it'll be okay.
almost 10 and im finally getting to bed. must fix sleep schedule, as school starts next week.

i just watched fight club! for the first time. it was amazing. i dont know if i liked it, but its definitely an incredible movie which you should definitely go see if you havent already. i'm gonna have to watch it again sometime. also borrowed american history x, the green mile, grave of the fireflies, and mystic river. yeah im kind of behind on the whole movie thing, but i'm working on it.
aside from that, my life consists of ultimate, ccic, and dating a really amazing guy. who's intelligent, wears armani colognes and dresses better than i do, but thats a whole 'nother story.
