im in japan. im bored. this hotel has free internet so im taking advantage of it. yay for free things. except its 11pm here but 7am at home so no one is online. japanese food is yummy. i love how there are tiny little portions of a lot of different things. and i love miso soup too. anddd monica and i have made it our little game to count how many people we see walking aorund with louis vuitton purses. i reeeeally like the mini speedy. i think i might get myself one actually just because they are so irresistably cute. our tour guide said that women here spend 70% of their income on designer goods like lv and gucci purses and they dont even think they're spending a lot of money but they can do that because they dont have to pay rent and stuff because they live with their parents. designer purses but dependent on parents.... i kind of like choosing the american way and having independence. i come back for a few weeks during breaks and im already missing my freedom. still... all their purses.... *drools*
china was fun. we ended up being lazy and cheap and not leaving guangdong at all and didnt go to shanghai or hainandao or anywhere that people usually go. but we went shopping a lot, and ate lots of food and helped stimulate china's economy. its funny how everyone thought we were from singapore cuz we spoke english and mandarin. and cuz monica cant stand cigarette smoke. just one more week and i'll be hoooome ohmygosh yay. i feel so fat here cuz when we went shopping the largest size we saw was a size 8 and only the polo store had those. the largest size most stores carried was a size 7. and while that fits me now, at the rate im going, i think it wont fit me by like... next year. eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek
