i've been at san diego for a week and i'm already starting to feel like its been at least a month. its not boring or anything, im just so used to this place and so used to my room.
things i love at sd
-to-go food at the dining halls. i enjoy being able to take my food out and eat it later.
-dining halls that are open until 1am and the food is hella good
-everyone here is so laid back
-we have an awesome gym
-we have so much closet space its amazing
-we got free bus passes and we can take the bus to the mall or to downtown and lots of places
-my math prof and mmw prof are both funny guys and make the lectures pretty interesting and worth going to. and while i cant say the same thing for spanish at the moment, it might change for the better.
-nice weather. unlike davis and riverside :p
random other things in no particular order...
-my roomie is funny. she's vietnamese and fobby and said she'd rush with me. i dont think she understands what that means.
-my suitemates are coool. we've been rearranging the lounge area and moving the couches into different rooms. we're gonna go shopping later today to decorate more.
-argo hall is awesome. i love being able to talk to people on different floors just by standing outside my suite door.
-erc won the unolympics! and i screamed my lungs out cheering for our tug-of-war team but it was definitely worth it all. especially since we beat sixth college :D
-there's been at least one dance on campus this entire week and people always go to sdsu and tj to party
-eating smores at the shores and watching the plankton and algae make the waves a beautiful flourescent blue
-running more than two miles with strides and then ninjaing out when i pass argo
-free food everywhere but thats probably only for welcome week. enjoying the barbeques and ice cream everywhere while it lasts though :)
-playing football at day at the bay and swimming in the salt water. and our ra is hella cool and she played with us.
-i've only had one day of class and i have hw already. death to spanish. deathdeath. i think i might end up dropping that class cuz i really dont get whats going on. i'll give it a few more days tho.
-so many people went home this weekend. i wish i had that luxury. i forgot a bunch of stuff at home :[
-i keep on bumping into lynbrook people everywhere. i've seen more than 30 ppl from the class of 2003. i've seen a bunch of '02 too.
-i'm gonna rush kdphi. wish me luck :\

random things
- leo accidentally directly connected so i figured i'd send him a screenshot of my desktop. turns out that leo and i are using the same visualstyle. what are the chances of that? opus natural in case you were wondering.
- there was a tie in tetrinet and we're all geeks and we all took a screenshot of it. daphne started it.
- i got my cume folder. its strange looking back on my old report cards and old pictures.
- weird skittleness. what do yOu think the red skittle in the original flavor is? excerpt from daphne's lj.

- yaaayyyy people that came all the way from berkeley. i was so surprised (in a good way) :DD
- it was fun making the potato salad and the tuna thing and the spinach dip. thanks to all those that helped me make it
- i'd wanted to see se7en for years and i finally did. complete with alternate endings and lovely commentary x.x
- more polo stuff is always good. especially cuz i dont have any purses like this :)
- yay i have more penguin stuff! the little glass figurine, cards, etc. i think i have at least 50 penguins in my room in some form or fashion
- a weird coke for my small/weird collection. little cokes, sprites, ketchup bottles, tobasco sauces...
- a japanese doll for my world collection.. i have little souvenirs from italy, france, china, japan, and vietnam on my shelves
- funny cards. someone's gonna get his ass kicked :D
- yay for riddles. my brain has gone to mush after a summer of inactivity. silly snes rpg that i never played... :p
- math game! factorials, mods, and everything weird. that is the most awesome card game EVER.
- making flowers and checkers with the rubix cube and fixing it again. i could do that for hours :p
- massage :DDD
- an alarm clock that claims to be superloud. i think it'll work same as it has the rest of my life... the alarm clock wakes up everyone around me and then they can wake me up :D
- ear phones that i can change colors of! i can match it to my laptop or my clothes or lots of other things. and we all know i go crazy about matching things =x
- pens and erasers. more useful stuff for school!
- pretty stuffffff. body glitter powder and a liquid form too. yay sparkles :)
- a certain picture of people sleeping.... i cant wait till a certain someone sees it...
- ive wanted those signs for yeeeears. especially the stop and the handicap one. im still not sure how im gonna explain that to my mom.... the most unique present i've ever gotten though :]]
- neverwinter nights patch and crack ^^
- i hadnt seen some of you guys in so long... talking about old jokes and old issues..... im telling you its yellow. YELLOW.
i'm probably not gonna see most of you guys for a few months so thank you for making my quasi-birthday and my last memories of everyone so much fun. thanks to everyone that came and for giving me everything that i'd wanted when i hadn't even realized it myself. :)

berkeley yesterday was fun. kinda strange how almost everyone at the party was from lynbrook. there was the australian fob, the ra, and then all lynbrook. amy, tracy, tree, mike jin, daphne, huiwen, david chen, and shamala (also visiting). it was good to see everyone again though.
things i remember
- tracy and amy have interesting suitemates. that australian guy to be specific. yamtai or something?
- getting lost trying to find foothill dorms
- too many hills everywhere. and too much walking.
- striking matches and lighting candles outside
- two dollar frozen yogurt. the biggest "small" cup of yogurt ever.
- chrononauts. that is such a fun game. i want it. not for 20 dollars though.
- playing with rubix cubes. i can make flowers and checkers!
- talking about "low" shirts o_O
- some of amy's presents. specifically the one from david ::coughcough::
- a lovely lovely conversation with amy about who has changed the most and other verrry interesting things

summary of the last few days
- gilroy was fun. i got shoes. and watches. and a cute bikini top that is NOT the thing that goes over your eyes when you sleep.
- i climbed onto my roof and fixed my window screen. and taped the corners. yay because bugs cant fly into my room anymore.
- my neverwinter has stopped working
- identity was a good movie. in a trippy way. watch it.
- jeepers creepers 2 was a horrible excuse for a movie. dont watch it.
