omg yaaayyyyyyyy! ucsd received my housing stuff on time! when i checked the date on the stamp it said "july 03, 2003" and i thought it said "july 08, 2003" and i was about to freak out cuz it was due on the 7th. but it made it on time! and now i can relax.
oh. and major change of plans. we're leaving for china today instead of on sunday cuz my mom got her passport today sooo. yes. we're leaving tonight.
if you happen to miss me or anything, i might be online occasionally. ooor you can email me! i used to use melissashih@yahoo.com but its been flooded with spam as of late so if you actually want me to get the mail i'd suggest my ooother address. which if you really want you can ask colin or tracy. email me and make me feel speshul :D
and one other thing. my cell phone is on hold or whatever. on vacation? on whatever it is that kills it for a month so we dont have to pay cell phone bills. soo dont call my cell for a month. month ends august 10th. soooo. thats it. if you want anything from china please tell me asap. im leaving in uhh... ten hours :p

the girls were gonna have a little girls night out thing on sunday and were gonna meet at my house and go play some frisbee and cook some dinner. we go to safeway and end up buying tv dinners because we're that lazy and then microwaved them at amy's house. tree comes and we go to miller to play frisbee because frank was playing ball at miller and he had some books of ours. we played some frisbee then tree and i ran a lap, then amy joined us and we powerwalked a superlap. i tried playing on the bars like i had in elementary school and it was really easy to get up but for some odd reason, as soon as i got up on the bars i started getting scared of falling. stupid me. then tree goes back to her house and the rest of us shower at my house. tree comes at 8:30 and we go to glow.
glow was pretty fun. i took my little pink bag with me because i had to carry the keys and stuff and no guys came with us (cough colin) so i couldnt force anyone to carry my junk in their pockets. tree told me to take out my credit card just in case so i did and i put them in my pockets. then we all just danced for a while. it was kind of weird how we'd all be dancing and all of a sudden we'd notice a big empty space around us so we'd move more towards the middle and dance there, and then there'd be a big empty space again. random guys came up to sam and tree and were freaking with them! i dont think i'll ever get to see that again :D tracy stared at everyone that dared to come near her soo she didnt dance with anyone :p amy got hurt cuz of someone stupid that was wearing pumps and like.. ripped her toenail off or something =
the only bad thing of the night (for me) was that my purse got stolen. i would have preferred more asian guys but i dont care that much about who i dance with. and my purse wasnt that much of a loss.. fortunately i had gotten the purse on sale at mishmash and my mom didnt like it and didnt want me using it anyway. i didnt have that much cash in there and my license and cc were in my pocket sooo yeah. boo to the fact that i lost the chilli's gift card that i got from grad night, the jamba gift card that cynthia gave me for grad (but fortunately there was only a little bit of money left on it), two starbucks buy one get one free fraps that i got from bfd, some pictures, my little orange change purse, and a bunch of random cards like my aaa card and my qcup and jamba stamp cards and morgan and mine student id's. and of course the keys too. but the only things that were irreplaceable were the lynbrook id's. which arent really all that important.. i mean sure i'd like to have it, but it wont kill me if i dont.
the police tried getting into my car cuz i had an extra set of keys in the car but they weren't very good at breaking into cars (which is a good thing i guess) we ended up calling tom for a ride and he was a dork and was lazy. but zeewei was nice and came and picked us up. the police were waiting with us and they said it was okay to cram four girls into the backseat as long as zee drove safely so thats what we did.
we get back home and i tell my mom about the purse and the car. amazingly enough, she wasnt mad at all, and was actually like "i TOLD you to always keep an extra set of keys on you! why in the world were they locked in the car?! see i TOLD you your mother is always right!" she was glad that i had my license and my cc and just took the time to laugh at me and say "i told you so"
tom frank and mike stopped by a few minutes later. we hang out, talk, etc. like usual basically. we girls played a lot of games of 20 questions, then unlimited questions, which was still fun in a very elementary school way. they stay until about 7am and as i walk downstairs to walk them out and get food, i see monica has weird people over too. the guys leave, amy leaves, and me and tree sleep until noonish. colin brings us quiznos and brings me the WRONG SANDWICH but its okay its still yummy. then leo stops by with his own quiznos just a few minutes later and its mesquite chicken! which is what i wanted colin to get for mee :( kind of weird that leo and colin both got quiznos though... so many random places for lunch and we just happened to pick the same thing. zee stops by on his way to fry's because the place where he works seems to have the most ironic sense of humor. leo and colin leave, then tom comes again. and zee comes back. and we hang out for a while until my mom comes home from ice skating and zee tree and i go back to glow because my car is still there and i needed her aaa card because mine got jacked.
while im waiting for the aaa guy to come im looking at cars and i see a tt quattro which i had tried to convince my mom to buy but she didnt want the all wheel drive or the extra horsepower but then she noticed that it had dual exhaust and she was whining about how we didnt try hard enough to make her buy the car because she decided her tt didnt look symmetrical enough, at least compared to the quattro x.x then the aaa guy came and he got into the car really easily and zee tree and i went to cupertino village to get pearl milk tea. thennnn i drove to saint johns which was lovely because they had half price steakwich things and tree and i split one and spent less than two dollars each and got a pretty good dinner. then we went to leo's and played cards. i ended up doing at least 150 pushups, but 1/3 of those were girl style. and if that number seems impossible, realize that we were playing 5 pushups per leftover card, and in one of my games i had 12 cards still in my hand... yeah x.x then we played poker which... was fun. i ended up winning the most :DDD
and then i went home. played a little tnet, talked to mike, and slept a little before 2am. woke up exactly 12 hours later and now im blogging.
overall it was a fun few days. glow was definitely memorable even if i'll mainly remember my purse getting stolen. but it was really that bad because i at least had taken my pda out and i took off my keychains too (which is good cuz i'd cry if i lost if i lost that lanyard) so nothing really important was stolen. its almost as if we knew it'd get stolen somehow.. with me taking out the stuff that was worth a lot tree telling me to take out my stuff too. combined with the fourth of july (which i guess i was too lazy and never blogged about) when we were playing with fireworks and when some official sounding person came we all ran for dear life, i do believe this is one of the most memorable weeks i've ever had. and hopefully these will never happen again and will all be remembered as once in a lifetime experiences =P

HOW TO STAY YOUNG (George Carlin)
